FAQ

How Can We Help?

WHAT IS AN EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST?

Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEP)  study the effect of exercise on the body. We believe movement is medicine and prescribe movement to manage health conditions. We can support you both at the gym and at home.

Our Accredited Exercise Physiologist (Katie) has additional training and knowledge in how to prescribe safe movement to support those managing invisible illnesses, such as EDS, POTS, MCAS, CFS and/or Fibromyalgia.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT WITH OUR EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST?

When attending an Exercise Physiology appointment we ask you wear comfortable clothing and bring along a water bottle.

At your first appointment with our Exercise Physiologist we take any relevant medical history, review your movements and work with you to set your movement goals.

We will come up with a movement plan together that may consist of review appointments, home programs, small group classes and/or 1:1 coaching sessions.

ARE YOUR SERVICES ELIGIBLE FOR PRIVATE HEALTH OR MEDICARE REBATES?

Yes AEP's are recognised Allied Health Providers by Medicare and most Private Health Insurances depending on your level of cover.

To receive a Medicare referral you need to speak to your GP about your eligibility for a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP). This plan allows you to access up to 5 partially subsidised allied health sessions per calendar year.
